New Product Prices in North America

SPOD_Price Increase_NA_April2022

We will be introducing an adjusted pricing model as of April 20th. Across the whole assortment in North America (NA), prices will increase by an average of 6%. Price changes will vary by item. You’ll find a complete list of new prices and variations below.

We will still be able to offer all sizes and colors at the same price for each individual product. Sample prices will be offered at the same discount, albeit based on the new product price. Prices in Europe and all shipping prices will remain unchanged.

What does this mean for your business?

Firstly, we recommend looking at the linked document above for a complete list of our new prices. Then our biggest tip is that you adjust your retail prices as you see fit before they change on April 20th, 2022. By doing so before the official launch you can protect your margins.

Why are prices increasing?

In the North American market, both an increased inflation rate and rising costs in the whole supply chain (about 25%) and rising cotton prices due to an ever-increasing global demand made purchasing from our suppliers significantly more expensive.

Higher acquisition costs have forced us to evaluate our pricing structure, which means that we had to reflect these changes by increasing product prices.

How can I update product prices for my Shopify store?

We recommend you to change your prices directly in your Shopify area.

Option 1: Change individual product prices manually

This option can be a bit tedious, but efficient if you don’t have too many products to change.

  1. Go to your Shopify Account
  2. In the left-hand menu, select Products
  3. Open each product you want to change
  4. Scroll down to the Variant section
  5. Click on Edit, then on Edit prices

Option 2: Manually adjust prices for all products in one row

You can do this with Shopify’s Bulk Editor. Go to your Shopify Navigation and select Products > Edit products > Adjust the prices. If you choose this option, remember that you will not be able to perform a calculation (for example, calculate percentages).

  • Guide to Shopify’s Bulk Editor, read more here.

Option 3: Edit all the prices at once with a CSV file

Export your products as a CSV file, then update the pricing and import them back into your store. One benefit to this method is that you can calculate and increase all the product prices in the CSV file to meet your desired percentages.

Guidelines:

  • To find out how to use CSV files, read more here.
  • To learn how to export your products, read more here.
  • For more information on how to import your products, read more here.

How can I update product prices for my WooCommerce store?

Option 1: Change individual product prices manually

The best way to update your prices for your WooCommerce store is directly in your WooCommerce account.

  • For more information on managing your products, read more here.

Option 2: Edit all the prices at once

If you’d like to bulk edit, there are different ways with WooCommerce: by using the WooCommerce default option, third-party plugins or with CVS file. To find out which option will work best for you, you can use these guides:

  • Bulk editing product on WooCommerce, read more here.
  • This article is also a great help and gives detailed steps on how to do each option.

Other option: Using your SPOD Account

Editing product prices in your SPOD Account is also possible. But we would only recommend editing through SPOD if there is no difference between the product details in your SPOD account and the product details on your Wordpress site. If you added any information on the WooCommerce product detail page (tag, description, titles, images…), it will be overwritten by the SPOD account version. This means that you would lose all your additions if you only change your prices with your SPOD Account.

How can I update product prices for my Order Desk integration?

If you’re running your sales through Order Desk, you’ll need to go to each point of sale connected with SPOD via Order Desk (i.e. Etsy, Amazon, etc.) and change the product prices directly on each.

You can also update your prices in your SPOD Account, then download an updated CSV file with all the details for all your products, organized by SKU, and use it to adjust your point of sales. Editing your prices this way means you’ll have to make the changes twice, so it could be a long workaround.

How can I update product prices for SPOD API?

We recommend you to update the product prices directly on your ecommerce platform.

How to find your product ID?

For Shopify users:
Go to your Shopify Navigation and select Products > Open each product you want to change > Look at the SKUs of your products. The product ID is mentioned right after the letter P.
Example: You sell customized bandanas for dogs
Product type and brand name: Dog Bandana | Big Accessories BA001
Product ID: 611
SKU: 1055845666-P611A2S29

Or

  1. Go to your SPOD Account
  2. Click on All Your Products
  3. Open each product you want to change
  4. Look at the SKUs in the product variant section
  5. Then follow the same principle as above
