After months of planning and preparation, the time came to move into our newest production facility in Legnica, Poland. So, on March 22nd, we packed our bags and moved! This move means that in the future we’ll be able to warehouse and print more products than ever before.
Our colleagues worked a whole weekend to move all the machines and products to the new production facility. Anyone who has moved before knows what a challenge that can be.

Why we love the new production facility
In addition to being a bigger and better version of our previous facility in Poland; our new facility doubles as a central warehouse too. It will now be used to store products for both Poland and our facility in the Czech Republic. Currently, we have around 4,500 SKUs (stock keeping units = product types) on the shelves. At the new location, however, we can now double or even triple the number of available product types.
We are all the more pleased that we were able to move over 4,500 product types and numerous machines in just two shifts (also with virtual support from the headquarters in Leipzig, Germany) and many hardworking hands. An incredible achievement!

Once fully operational, merchants will have many new products available to offer their customers. We’re looking forward to passing the benefits on to you, our merchants.
More space, more products but also new printing tech
The new location is now home to two top-of-the-line Kornit Atlas printers. They’re environmentally friendly thanks to eco-conscious ink and use less water in the printing process. We’ve set a goal to become a more sustainable company, so we’re planning to purchase more printers like this.
Additionally, the Kornit Atlas printers are extremely time efficient. Because of the faster printing capabilities, will will have more control over printing times; a benefit we hope to pass down to our merchant's customers. Plus, we’ll be adding even more new print techniques in the future. But more on that soon…
Looking to the future
New facilities are just the tip of the iceberg. SPOD has an extremely exciting 2021 planned with a number of updates and changes coming soon.
